Since the Florida Baptist Convention's founding in 1854, cooperation has been central to Baptist work in our state. Florida Baptist Conference Associational Leaders (FBCAL) carries forward this 170-year legacy by bringing together associational leaders who serve as pastors to pastors, providing crucial support to help churches navigate today's ministry challenges. With over 70% of churches having fewer than 100 in attendance, these congregations rely on the personalized care and resources our associational leaders provide.
As Florida's voice within the Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Leaders (SBCAL), we host an annual summit each January in Jacksonville where leaders gather for spiritual encouragement, strategic training, and fellowship. This network ensures no association stands alone as we work together to strengthen churches from the Panhandle to the Keys. In an era of rapid cultural change, FBCAL proves that we are truly stronger together.
